Enter the factory:

Drying, management, processing and packaging at the Aron Rice factory

The Aron Rice Factory is one of the most advanced on the Peninsula today. To turn our rice into a ready produce, it undergoes the following technological operations.

Immediately after the paddy arrives on the territory of the factory it is submitted to input control of raw material by taking samples from the transport vehicle before unloading. The drying process of paddy rice is crucial for the quality storage and subsequent processing of rice, so drying must be performed at optimal temperature /45 ° C – 55 ° C of the paddy rice / and humidity-reducing rate not more than 1.5 % humidity per hour. Burning the rice husks in a special furnace produces the warm air used for drying the paddy. The drying process is fully automated (moisture measuring, temperature monitoring, feeding husks and air to the furnace). After reaching a certain percentage of humidity / 14% – 15% /, the paddy rice is unloaded from the dryers and fed to the fork tower conveyor for transportation to the silos for storage of dried rice paddy. Through a system of mechanised conveyors the paddy rice is fed to the fork tower conveyor and from there transported to the internal working bunker to feed the rice processing line. The incoming paddy rice passes through a gravitational gauge measuring the inflow. Data for the incoming amounts of paddy are recorded in real time directly into the control computer. Measured paddy is transported using gravity to an elevator feeding the cleaning machine. The cleaned paddy goes by gravity through a tube to a following manipulation in the separating machine called destoner, which function is to separates rocks, metal or glass particles from the paddy rice. On its way to the buffer container the paddy rice passes through a permanent magnet to capture ferrous particles. Paddy rice enters the peeler where it passes between rubber rollers rotating in opposite directions, and the paddy rice is converted into husked / brown / rice and rice husks are separated. By gravity flow the brown rice is fed to the paddy separator. The husked / brown / rice is fed by elevator to the grinder in order to pass the two bleaching stages. Bleached rice from the first stage is then gravity-fed to the second grinder and the operation is repeated again for finer results. After the second grinding, the rice surface is then water polished.Polished rice is a ready, finished product, which must be sorted to separate the broken and fine broken grains. For this purpose an elevator takes the rice to a plansichter where using a set of sieves three different fractions are received. In the trommel the product is divided into two fractions – rice and broken rice, transported respectively by elevators to the working bunkers. We have three bunkers for storage of rice (large and normal rice grains), broken rice (broken kernels) and small crushed rice (finely crushed kernels). Computer regulated dispensers are mounted at their outputs, enabling preparation of mixtures. By a band conveyor the rice blend goes into the machine for separation by colour.

The finished product (quality white rice) leaves the Sortex machine and is then lifted by an elevator and fed into the work cell above the packaging machines for packing in 50kg bags or in packages of 0.5 to 2 kg.

In 2012 Aron Rice Ltd. was certified by SGS under the ISO22000:2005 and ISO9001:2008.
